This Chinese species is somewhat evolutionary unclear as it has no obvious relatives. Worthwhile to be cultivated in Atlantic area of EU as an easy and unusual object with nice  flowers ,  shiny floliage and decorative fruiting. Prefers somewhat shady and more moist growing conditions as European species.  Few plants available in EU.
